We are a family of five that have been (officially) home schooling for the past 11 years. We reside in a semi-rural town in South Africa.
Each member of the family has unique gifts, talents and interests (which does overlap to some degree) and our aim is to help each member to develop those gifts and talents in a safe environment while allowing them to enjoy their JOY and if we cannot actively participate in the JOY, we will watch them enjoying it.
Our interests include: reading (some people joke that we have our own private little library), movies, music, art, cooking, baking, different kinds of sport, stop motion animation, building puzzles, listening to podcasts, gardening, quilting…
We strongly believe that a child’s heart (their spirit man) and mind needs to be developed, and we would like to share some of the methods and products that we have developed and used so far on our own journey.
